What are the local TV channels available in my area?

Your local channels vary depending on your area, and there’s a simple way to find out. Just go to our Local Channels web page, enter your zip code, and our quick search will provide you with a list of all the local channels that are available in your area.

What TV channels are available in each program package?
If you would like to know more about our diverse packages, we recommend visiting our Channel Packages web page, where you will find all the information you need to make the best decision.
How do I know which package is best for me?
Very simple. Just call us tall-free at 1-800-670-1405 and one of our DISH Network specialists will help you find the perfect package for you.
I am interested in receiving local channels, how do I know if they are available in my area?
Local channels are available with many different networks (over 175) therefore, there should be no problem for your area to qualify. Although what you need to do is visit our website and click on Local Channels, for a specific answer regarding your area.
Do I need to buy an antenna to view local channels?
No! With Dish Network you receive your local channels with our dish and there is no extra cost or anything else from your end (besides the $5 fee for local channels should you want to add them to your package).
Can I view a list of all international and foreign channels, so I can choose my package?
Not a problem! Please visit our Channel Packages page in order to view the international and foreign channels offered with the various Dish Network packages.

What channels are available in Spanish?
Dish Network offers many of Spanish channel packages, including:
Dish Latino - Dish Network’s basic Spanish package with 35 channels.
Dish Latino Dos - a package which comes with 35 Spanish language channels 150 English language and local channels.
Dish Latino Max - both Dish Latino and Dish Latino Dos come in this amazing package. 35 Spanish Language channels and 195 English language channels.
Can I switch one channel from the package I chose for another channel from a different package?
Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, and add any channel you wish, to your package, any time you want.
I have small children at home, can I block certain channels with Dish Network?
You can block one channel, or multiple channels as you please. Dish Network offers parental control feature that allows you to, well, have full control over your TV.

Equipment
Can I watch two different channels on two separate TVs simultaneously?

Yes. As long as you make sure to order the right receiver that will suits your needs. It is possible to watch different channels on different TV screens with more than one receiver. Whatever you need, Dish Network will help you find it.

Do Dish Network’s receivers Dish 625 and Dish 722 support picture in picture? (PIP)

Installation
How long does it take the Dish Network to install?

The installation of two TV’s takes approximately an hour and a half. However the time may vary between the different TV’s.

How long does the total process take—from initial service order to final package installation?

The installation should be completed within 48 hours from the moment you have set your order. If there is a local authorized installer in the area, the installation can take place in less than 24 hours.

Does the satellite dish require any wiring, similar to cable television? Do I need to provide the wiring?

All you need to do is to sit back and relax. Dish Network satellite TV does require wiring for better quality picture on your TV, and will provide all necessary wiring for complete installation.

Are the jacks from my previous cable service sufficient for Dish Network Satellite TV installation?

The installers may use your existing jacks if they are in good condition, if they are not, they will be installing new jacks.


Ordering
Is there any service contract associated with a Dish Network signup?

No. There is no service contract when signing up with Dish Network.  If you chose to begin a 24 month commitment, it begins at the time of installation.

What is the service charge to hookup several TVs with Dish Network Satellite TV?
Dish Network installs up to four TVs for free.  For custom installations please call 1-800-670-1405 and a representative can assist you
If I order now, are there any special package rates?

We offer our customers the best rates and unbelievable packages all year long. However, from time to time we offer special packages rates.

Is there a monthly charge for the receiver?

When you get a standard installation, the cost of the receiver is included in your monthly service charge. If you order DVR, there will be an additional $5.98 monthly service charge.

My initial promotional period is ending. How can I get the estimated cost of continuing my Dish Network service?
Dish Network offers great promotional offers. Continued monthly service prices may be different.
Does it cost more to add another TV to my service package?

It depends on what type of receiver you have. If you originally got a receiver that supports two TV’s for example, you will not be charged an additional price, However if your receiver supports only one TV, you will need to order another receiver.

What payment options are available?

Dish Network offers very comfortable and flexible payment methods. You can pay with your credit card, debit card, or your checking account.

Does Dish Network also offer internet services?

Does Dish Network require a social security number to order satellite TV service? Why?

Dish Network Satellite equipment installation, along with the service is very expansive. The social security number allows Dish Network to run a brief credit check in order to verify any credit worries.
